Clinique Long Last Glosswear

(retails at £15/6ml)

I received this free in a magazine a long while back and, as I really dislike glosses, I hadn't worn it before classing it off as another sticky horrible gloss that my hair just sticks to and makes my lips feel gloopy and horrible. However, I recently went through my lipsticks and realised I still had this one and it's actually far better than I first anticipated.

This is described by Clinique as giving you 'longer wear than traditional lip glosses' and stays 'put for up to 8 hours'. Having an SPF of 15 is also an encouraging factor knowing that my lips will be protected in this weather. I believe this is Cabana Crush which is a light pink colour with gold/shimmery undertones.

The gloss itself comes out clear with very subtle pink shimmers which is perfect for a subtle look and I generally wear it over the top of other lipsticks but it can work either way. The gloss itself is slightly sticky, as expected, but not hideously so and I'm surprised at how much I like it rather than tolerate it. It's gorgeous and finishes my look wonderfully. This can be truly described as a 'slick' rather than a big mess of sticky gloop on my lips.

I really am not keen on paying high prices on what I think are average products for the most part but Clinique are a brand that continually catch my eye. Their products, though most I get from samples/freebies, are all-round really good quality and stand up to their price range which I believe is worthy.

Swatches below (top = lipgloss over pink lipstick, bottom = lipgloss alone)
