Aciiied Agitation

A while ago I purchased a Models Own nail box set in their Bright collection. I was so excited to try out the shades and put on the beautiful Aciiied. It looked like a beautiful bright pea green almost. Even in its bottle it was very impressive...

It looks almost lime but slightly more brighter than this. Imagine my surprise when it came out to reveal a neon yellow colour. I didn't understand how something so green could come out with such a yellow tinge. To my surprise the website does in fact show it as a yellow colour but it worries me that in the bottle the formula is so incredibly different. Hmmm.

Has anyone had this issue? I'm not taking away from the colour at all as it is still gorgeous but it's just so different from the bottle colour. I'm still very impressed with Models Own as a brand.

Models Own Kohl Black Eyeliner

(retails at £5 from Models Own but is free with any purchase using the code KOHLBLACKFREE)

Models Own is a brand I've only just really looked into and know about their nail varnishes, but I don't think their make-up has had as much coverage. I got this free after purchasing my gorgeous nail varnish set. I'm not a massive fan of Kohl eyeliners because I find them hard to apply and find they smudge everywhere. However, I can't turn down a freebie!

The greatest difficulty I find with eyeliner pencils is that they are so tough and have to pressed down really hard on such a sensitive part of my face which can put me off a lot. This liner however is soft and easy to use, it glides on like a dream and has a sharpener which means the nib is easy to apply. It is highly pigmented and stays on for a good 6+ hours without any difficulties.

There is a smudge applicator on the other end which can be used for a smoky eye or tamer look to blend nicely into eyeshadow. I personally don't use this however the sponge itself is very light and easy to work around to make the look more for day time and to tame eyes down slightly.

Overall I am very impressed with this. I would consider paying £5 for it as well as it's very cheap and is better than other brands, such as the likes of Rimmel. In fact, I'm so impressed with this product that I'm definitely going to look into the Models Own make-up line more.

Models Own Haul

So this week I said 'no more spending' ... and found myself on the Models Own website buying a nail varnish set. Always the way! This is just a quick post to say how brilliant I found the company themselves. My package came through within 2 days and was beautifully presented...

Even the packaging itself was beautiful wrapped with Models Own paper and bubblewrap so I felt like they'd taken a considerable amount of care and time in sending me my product which is brilliant.

I purchased the 'Neon Brights' Box Set for £20 saving £10. The colours are: Lime Green, Purple Pashion, Aciied, Pink Punch, Fluro Orange and Tangerine Queen.

I then got this free Black Kohl pencil using a special code which is advertised at the side of their website.

I'll review the products at some point but this is a haul just to show how impressed I am with their delivery, presentation and products. A true winner!
