Garnier BB Cream (Miracle Skin Perfector)

(RRP is £9.99/50ml but you can get your 3 free samples from here)

I am not a big fan of the BB cream phase. I'm sorry but I do not see the hype. To me they are a glorified tinted moisturiser. If you don't feel happy wearing 'no make-up' but want to look 'natural' then, in my opinion, the best alternative is a very light layer of foundation.

However, a sample is a sample and I thought I'd give Garnier a go. I'd heard some good reviews on blogs and the only other BB cream I've tried is number 17 and I wasn't overly impressed. I use this just as a sort of primer/base on a night out.

The package itself came within about 10 days of showing interest on the website and it came beautifully in a neat little square package which folded out to show a very substantial amount of information on the product and 3 samples. A brilliant example to other products on the market.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector claims to be able to be used as a primer, on its own or as a touch up and is described as having a 'light texture' and gives 'instantly perfect skin' feeling more smooth, supple and soft. It also has an SPF of 15 which is obviously good for protecting skin.

The product itself comes out quite thickly which at first I thought I'd need a lot in order to blend but a small, pea-sized amount is plenty. It smooths out on the face like a dream and, although it remains wet for a little while, with a touch of powder it stays on my skin for a good 6+ hours. I'm so impressed with how this product looks. As you can see from the above picture when blended my skin looks less red/irritated and smoother and more refined. I'm shocked at how good my skin looks after and, unlike other BB creams I've tried, I don't need anything else apart from some loose powder to stop shine. It covers up blemishes and red marks.

I'm so impressed that I'm tempted to pick up a full sized bottle. Very, very impressed and lives up to its claims. Thanks Garnier!
