Revlon Matte Suede nail varnish in Emerald City

(available from cheapsmells for £2.99 although I found it in my local £1 store!)

As I looked through my nail varnish collection I realised there were no shades of dark green - only mint, pastel and bright - so I went on a whim and bought this. There's not much description to it other than apply two coats - as I normally do.

I thought I'd capture the colour itself though as in the bottle it is absolute gorgeous. It looks like a forest green but, upon closer inspection when it was on my nails, it has flecks of glitter/a shimmer to it. This really disappointed me. Not only did I expect it to be darker but I really don't like any hint of glitter in nail varnishes.

The nail varnish itself applies like a dream and dries within 2 minutes, if that. Me being ditzy as I am was surprised when it came out matte instead of shiny like normal until I realised it was called Matte Suede. It's a very light matte though rather than dry as some can be. I found it lasted a good 5 days without any signs of chipping which was impressive.

By far, not my favourite nail polish but overall for those that like a forest green with some hints of glitter it'd be perfect!
